Directions to Technical Publications Judging Events

The directions to the Technical Publications competition judging events are as follows:

Technical Publications Orientation

The Technical Publications orientation session will be held at Airvana, 19 Alpha Road, Chelmsford, MA 01824. The time is 6:00-9:00pm. Please use the directions on their website to get to the event.

Technical Publications Consensus Judging

The Technical Publications Consensus session will happen from 9:00am to 12 noon at the following location:
The MathWorks, Inc.
Two Apple Hill
Natick, Massachusetts

The Technical Publications consensus judging sessions will be held in Building Two. Use the following directions to get there.

From Route 128/Interstate 95 (North or South)

  1. Take Route 128/I-95 (North or South) to the Mass Pike West.
  2. Follow directions From The Massachusetts Turnpike.

OR

  1. Take Route 128/I-95 (North or South) to Route 9 West.
  2. Go seven miles on Route 9, and take the Route 27 South exit to reverse direction.
  3. Take the Route 9 East exit.
  4. After about a quarter of a mile, take a right into the main entrance of Apple Hill. (This is Apple Hill Drive)
  5. Follow the main road through one stop sign.
  6. Follow the directions to Apple Hill Building 2.

From Route 9 (East)

  1. Follow Route 9 East into Natick.
  2. About a quarter of a mile beyond the Route 27 overpass, take a right into the main entrance of Apple Hill. (This is Apple Hill Drive)
  3. Follow the main road through one stop sign.
  4. Follow the directions to Apple Hill Building 2.

From Route 9 (West)

  1. Take the Route 27 South exit to reverse direction.
  2. Take the Route 9 East exit.
  3. After about a quarter of a mile, take a right into the main entrance of Apple Hill. (This is Apple Hill Drive)
  4. Follow the main road through one stop sign.
  5. Follow the directions to Apple Hill Building 2.

Using the MBTA Commuter Rail

Take the MBTA Framingham/Worcester line to the Natick Commuter Station. For train schedules and maps, see www.mbta.com. This station is located at the intersection of Walnut Street and Route 27 just 1.4 miles from the MathWorks building at 2 Apple Hill Drive.

  • We suggest that you take a cab from the Natick Commuter Station to The MathWorks. The number for Natick Cab is (508) 653-2300. Follow the directions to Apple Hill Building 2.

OR

If you prefer to walk:

  1. Go up the stairs. If necessary, cross the bridge over the tracks so you are on the side of the tracks furthest from downtown Natick.
  2. Find Walnut Street, which is directly across the street from the foot bridge over the tracks. At the end of the street, the Natick Outdoor & Sports Store will be on your right and a parking lot on your left.
  3. Walk north on Walnut Street. You will pass "Walnut Hill" on your right, a relatively large intersection with Bacon Street, and a sharp right/left S-curve on your way to Route 9, which you will reach in about 1.25 miles.
  4. Turn left and walk on the grass along Route 9. The first office park you reach is the Apple Hill complex.
  5. Follow the directions to Apple Hill Building 2.
